Tested and validated in accordance with API Std 17G, Solus™ is the first fully NACE MR0175 compliant fail-close bi-directional high-debris ball valve system that can shear and seal on wire and coiled tubing. It forms part of a subsea test tree assembly or blow-out preventer (BOP) slick joint system for sealing with the pipe rams of the BOP stack. The valve isolates the well during testing or well intervention and ensures a complete liquid and gas seal post-shear.
It is autonomous, faster than conventional manual operations, and reduces rig floor personnel. Its modular design allows isolation and disconnection from the well.
